Middle
of Nowhere

Uyuni, Bolivia

Whenever we seek a moment of isolation, we think of Bolivia. In the middle of the largest salt desert in the world, one gains real perspective. We begin with a private ride toward the camp from the Uyuni airport. Once there, we unpack inside an Airstream Camper, looking out at an unending stretch of white salt flats. We especially love the nights, when the only sound that meets us is our breath against the wind and the finest view of the starlit sky. It may be the middle of nowhere, but there’s nowhere we’d rather be.
