Love a great picnic? We know we do. Wadi Arbayeen is Oman’s version of paradise. We start in Quriyat, a town known for its love for fishing and picturesque waterfronts. As we drive over some exhilarating terrain (often off-road) we’re likely to catch a glimpse of some radiant flamingos enjoying the local watersheds. The actual picnic spot is one of our best-kept secrets – a serene, yet stunning site that is fringed by exotic date palms and surrounded by sapphire natural water pools as far as the eye can see. A sizzling barbeque awaits us here, but only after we’ve worked up an appetite by hiking, swimming, and cliff-jumping by the secret waterfall.
